I am honored to be considered for this initiative.
I would be delighted to provide a brief message for inclusion in the newsletter.
The Relationship between Sustainability and Securities Brokerage
In today’s financial landscape, the integration of sustainability into securities brokerage is not just a trend but a necessity. Sustainable practices in brokerage firms can lead to more resilient and ethical investment strategies, aligning financial growth with environmental and social responsibility.
At Beltone, we believe that incorporating sustainability into our brokerage services enhances our ability to manage risks and identify opportunities that benefit both our clients and the broader community. By prioritizing sustainable investments, we support companies that are committed to positive environmental and social impacts, thereby driving long-term value and fostering a more sustainable future.
Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our continuous efforts to educate and engage our clients on the importance of sustainable investing. We strive to be at the forefront of this movement, ensuring that our practices contribute to a healthier planet and a more equitable society.
I look forward to supporting Beltone’s commitment to sustainability and contributing to the positive change we are striving to achieve.
Beltone’s Sustainability Department proudly participated as a sponsor at COP29 in Azerbaijan, supporting an extraordinary initiative by Dalil El Kheir Foundation. This groundbreaking effort is led by an inspiring trio of visionaries—Sama Ramy, Ali Mohamed, and Kareen Hany—who are paving the way for an inclusive and sustainable future.
Our talented colleague, has spearheaded the remarkable “Ideal City” project, envisioning urban spaces built on the principles of accessibility, sustainability, and inclusivity. The dedication of all of them has further enriched the project, ensuring it stands as a beacon of collaboration and innovation.
We are thrilled to highlight that this visionary project was the only initiative presented by individuals with special needs at COP29—a true milestone for empowerment and representation. Together, Sama, Ali, and Kareen have showcased that inclusion and sustainability can transform the future of urban living.
Ideal City is a visionary blueprint that integrates smart technology, sustainable design, and accessible infrastructure, making urban spaces safer, greener, and more welcoming for everyone. This work offers innovative solutions that address environmental impact while prioritizing the needs of diverse communities, embodying the core values of COP29’s mission.
Their accomplishments remind us that resilience, creativity, and empathy are transformative forces in sustainability. We are honored to support their vision and grateful for the opportunity to showcase their project at COP29, where their ideas can inspire global leaders and peers alike.
As we continue our journey toward a more inclusive and sustainable world, Beltone remains committed to empowering and celebrating the unique contributions of all our employees.
The Sustainability Department at Beltone kicked off an educational initiative last April, aimed at fostering a deep understanding of environmental responsibility among young students and encouraging them to adopt sustainable habits from an early age. Through partnerships with local organizations and educational institutions, Beltone is dedicated to building a greener future for all, one school at a time.
This program spans across different governorates, reaching an average of 250 schools, including national, international, and STEM schools.
Uniquely, this is the first initiative in Egypt to combine sustainability awareness in schools with a competitive element. Through interactive activities, hands-on projects, and informative discussions, students are empowered to be environmentally conscious leaders. Winning teams from each school category will have the opportunity to participate in the prestigious international competition. This competition highlights young leaders who skillfully combine coding with sustainability, fostering a new generation of tech-driven, eco-conscious advocates.
This month was the second round in collaboration with Carbon Impact Lab, starting with an interactive program at the British School of Egypt. The day began with a welcoming ceremony that included a fun icebreaker and a simple introduction to sustainability concepts, highlighting their importance through engaging stories and examples suitable for young learners.
Students then dove into “The Power of Recycling,” where they participated in a hands-on recycling relay, learning about waste sorting and the importance of recycling. As a reminder of their new knowledge, each student created a reusable item.
In the “Energy efficiency” session, children raced solar-powered toy cars, demonstrating the benefits of renewable energy and sparking conversations about solar and water power.
This month, we celebrated the Eat Mindful theme with an inspiring event led by Dr. Amal Farag, a renowned nutritionist, to help our employees explore the power of mindful eating and workplace wellness.
Dr. Farag’s engaging session focused on practical tips for balanced nutrition, workplace wellness, and the art of mindful eating. She highlighted the importance of slowing down, listening to hunger cues, and savoring each bite—simple practices that transform the way we experience food and improve overall well-being.
Employees actively participated in an interactive Q&A session, addressing personal health concerns and gaining actionable insights.
The event also featured In-Body Measurements, offering employees a personalized look into their body composition, including muscle mass and metabolic rate. These metrics encouraged goal-setting for healthier habits. To cap it off, attendees received exciting giveaways, samples, and exclusive discount vouchers.
Mindful eating means being fully present with your meals—enjoying the flavors, textures, and aromas while eating without distractions. It fosters a healthier relationship with food and reduces overeating.
Mindful eating also supports sustainability. By planning meals, choosing seasonal produce, and reducing food waste, we can nourish ourselves while respecting the planet.
Beltone proudly participated as a sponsor in the recent Magdi Yacoub Marathon held in New Giza—a remarkable event dedicated to promoting heart health and supporting the life-saving work of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation. Running Towards a Better Future
Employees, families, and supporters joined us at the marathon, embodying our values of community involvement and well-being. By supporting events like these, Beltone hopes to inspire lasting change and contribute to the foundation’s mission of making life-saving heart care accessible to all. We extend our gratitude to everyone who took part in the marathon, whether by running, supporting, or spreading the message. Together, we can make a difference—one step, one heartbeat at a time.
I am fully aware of most of Beltone Holding's sustainability initiatives and would like to salute you for all the hard work you are doing. Your efforts, especially the Employee Inclusivity Program for Down Syndrome, stand out as one of the best programs, promoting meaningful inclusivity and diversity.
The Green Economy Initiative reflects your commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, while the recent Health Campaigns (Eat Mindful) which enhance our wellness for healthier lifestyles. These initiatives truly set a benchmark for impactful and forward-thinking programs.
Keep up the incredible work!
Not so familiar
Environmental Responsibility: Beltone collaborates with Bekia Waste Management to recycle materials like paper and plastics, with proceeds donated to charitable causes. Green Finance Leadership: Under CEO Dalia Khorshid, Beltone executed Egypt's first carbon credit trade in August 2024, marking a significant step in the country's sustainable finance sector.
Not very, I only have seen the paper recycling stations.
I believe these initiatives are incredibly important as they foster employee involvement, embrace the concept of individual responsibility, and encourage active engagement.
As someone deeply interested in technology, I am particularly believing in the concept of green technology. This vision is evident in our new premises design, which incorporates solar energy and maximizes the use of natural light, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability.
Additionally, implementing automation for all processes aligns perfectly with our goal of becoming paperless. This not only enhances efficiency but also significantly reduces our environmental footprint, reinforcing our dedication to a more sustainable future.
Of course, that’s one of the main reasons employees stay.
Reputation and Trust: Implementing strong sustainability initiatives enhances Beltone's reputation, attracting clients, investors, and stakeholders who value environmental and social responsibility. Regulatory Compliance: As global and local regulations increasingly mandate sustainability reporting and environmentally friendly practices, Beltone's proactive approach positions it ahead of competitors. Operational Efficiency: Sustainability measures, such as waste recycling and energy efficiency, can lead to cost savings and reduced resource dependency over time.
Yes, definitely as we all aim to reducing carbon emissions, to further help in stabilizing the climate changes, which will directly impact our score with regards to the Carbon credits, moreover, all big corps currently (e.g., Apple) are using the phrase "zero carbon emissions" or "our vision to reducing carbon footprint" to advertise for their products and services.
I have actively participated in several activities, including The Materiality Assessment, which provided valuable insights into prioritizing our initiatives, Also many programs, particularly those focusing on inclusivity, as they align closely with my values. Most recently, I had the opportunity to engage with the Eat Mindful Program.

No I didn’t participate
No, not yet.
While you are doing a magnificent job, I believe there are some areas for improvement that could elevate these efforts even further. Enhancing engagement through more frequent questionnaires and feedback sessions could provide deeper insights into employee perspectives and needs. Additionally, incorporating team-building techniques could foster stronger creating a more unified and motivated workforce. Also Focusing on technology and technical approaches towards sustainability (Implementing paperless workflows and digital signatures to reduce paper waste - Using software to monitor and manage carbon emissions – using IoT “Internet of things” and AI to track resource usage and promote recycling and reuse.)
Regarding transportation we can make either uber business for free to all employees or limited amount to use during the month or making fleet cards for fuel as after the move to new location in new cairo a lot of employees are suffering from transportation
In my opinion, sustainability team should provide training or informative sessions for Beltone's employees to educate them about the importance of sustainability projects.
